Spend $10 and make $52? Plus walk out with $112 worth of stuff?

In: Do-It-Yourself-Moms, Money Makers

Photobucket

So, here’s how I fared. I ended up spending a little more than I had intended – partly because the cashier, in her attempt to be helpful, ended up scanning my mom’s card and my card for different transactions, meaning some offers weren’t necessarily reached, and the ECB’s didn’t print at the right time. Still a great day, though! I ended up spending $10 OOP, and got $112 worth of stuff, and I’ll get $52 in rebate checks in a few weeks. I’m happy! ๐Ÿ™‚

> “Chloe needs free diapers” Deal!

1 pkg. Playskool Diapers (9.99)

Just for Men Haircolor (not really for him, but I make money off of it, so I’m buying it! ๐Ÿ™‚ ) $7.99

2 Speed Stick Deoderant (BOGOfree!) $2.79 for both

Softsoap SPA Body Wash $4.99 They were out of this, so I bought some things we “needed” – a Pepsi, a Mtn. Dew, and some milk.ย  Didn’t get my ECB’s, but that’s ok. ๐Ÿ™‚

TOTAL: $15.77 + tax

– $3.00 CVS coupon

– $2.00 off Just for Men Couponย (+ rebate here)

$1.00 off Softsoap Spa Radiant Body Wash Coupon

> “I just want more ECB’s’ Deal

2ย  Post it Notes – $5.00

4ย ย Post it Flagsย  – $10.00

2 PalmOlive Dish Soap (BOGOfree!) – $1.39

TOTAL = $16.39 + tax

– $3/15 CVS Coupon

– 2 $3/2 Post it Flags Couponย + REBATE for MacDonald’s Gift Certificates

– $0.25 Palmolive dish soap coupon (4/27 paper)

TOTAL OOP = $5.14 + Tax

I paid cash for these. ๐Ÿ™‚

I just earned $5.00 in ECB’s + I will get $10.00 in MacDonald’s Gift Certificates!

BUT WAIT!ย  I’M NOT DONE YET! ๐Ÿ™‚

> “So, I’m just really trying to get to know the cashier” deal

1 One Touch Glucose Monitor (Missionaries could use this!) $29.99

1 Neosporin $2.99 (?)

1 Benadryl Topical $3.49 (?)

1 Purell – $3.49 (?)

TOTAL: $39.96 + tax

–ย 1 $3/15 CVS coupon

– 1 $4/20 CVS welcome coupon

– $20/1 coupon in 4/27 paper

– $1 coupon for Benadryl (4/27 paper)

– $0.50 coupon for Neosporin (4/27 paper)

– $1 Purell coupon (4/27 paper)

TOTAL OOP = $10.44 + Rebate in package for $29.99!!

Pay with ECB $7.99 = $2.45 OOP + tax

And I earned another $5.00 in ECB for next week!

ย

I think I’m done now – by this time, I think the dear cashier will want to throw me out of the store! ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Here’s a summary of how I’ll do (if it all works out!):

Total merchandise value: $112.25

Total Spent with my spare change after coupons and ECB’s : $9.50 ish+ tax

Rebates that I’ll send off for: $10.00 in MacDonald’s Gift Certificates, $29.99 Mail In Rebate for Glucose Monitor, $8.00 Mail In Rebate for Just for Men = $47.99

IN OTHER WORDS – I JUST GOT PAID $52.99 TO SHOP AT CVS AND WALKED OUT WITH ALL OF THAT STUFF!ย  THAT’S THE SAME AS ROBBING A STORE AND A BANK ON THE SAME DAY. . . AND IT WAS ALL LEGAL – not to mention, super fun ๐Ÿ™‚ !!!

Thanks for all you deals. I’m definitely going to use them.
There is one thing that puzzles me about the deal with just for men and softsoap and so on. How do you get 12.98 in ECB and 7.99?

Thanks for asking, Estera! I’ll get $7.99 ECB for the Just for Men, and $4.99 for the softsoap spa radiance. Then, I’m sending in for the $7.99 rebate for the Just For Men! So, I’m only getting $12.98 in ECB’s, but I’ll get a check for $7.99. . . Hopefully that helps a little! I’m sorry that was confusing! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, Joanna, Chris looked at the Just For Men hair color and said, “Why did you buy that?!” Then I debated, should I take the time to explain that I paid $7.99 for it, got $7.99 back in ECB’s, and am getting a $7.99 rebate in the mail? Naaawww! ๐Ÿ™‚ I just let him think I thought he needs it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I just talked to Tim. I had to ask him if he’d gone gray while gone….he was a bit confused. I was actually figuring out my deals for before the end of April when he called. Quick question….Have you used the 3/15 q. w/ the 2/10 cvs brand q. in the same transaction before? Also I can still do 2 more eob deals… and I was wondering if the gift bags were included in the b2g1 deal for this week. Do you know of anyone who has tried it? Here’s the 1st trans. I was thinking…if it all works – what a $ maker…
    2 post it notes (5)
4 post it flags (Have I told you about using these in your pc calendar?) (10)
6 eob gift bags (only pay for 4) (6)
    1 Soleil razor (5.99)
    $27 total
    use 3/15 cvs q, 2/10 cvs brand q, 3 3/2 post it q’s, 2/1 soleil q.
$11 after q and only $7 if I can also us the 4/20 cvs email q
pay with either 10 ecb or $5 ecb depending on if they’ll take all 3 cvs q’s
    only 1or 2 oop.
    Earn $18 ecbs.
What do you think…I’m getting way too addicted, but hey, coming up with these sure helps pass the time in the evenings while Tim is gone…Now if I could just get away long enough to go implement them without the kids.
Joanna….I’m moving home in Oct. and I’ll need a cvs buddy…you game?

You may save a stamp-FYI recheck that Mcdonalds rebate as they are for large packages of post it product and I doubt youll get the full rebate on the gloucose monitor as it is based on the receipt and the final purchase price. I had the same idea too. oh well.

    hooly cow kim!!
We need to get together (with Rachel too?) for coffee when I return to the US (august?), to catch up of course, and also, you guys need to explain to me how you do all of this. Right now it’s over my head!! I am sure you’ve had a lot of time to learn how to do all of this, but I am certainly impressed!
    Hope to see you soon!
(well I still am not sure that i will be able to return, just having a LOT of faith!! :p)

Depedning on your CVS (which is what I’ve heard), you SHOULD be able to use both the 3/15 and the 2/10 CVS brand items coupon in the same transaction. I just give them to her with a manufacturer’s coupon in between.

The only way you can use a 3/15 AND a 4/20 in the same transaction is if your total comes to at least $35.

I haven’t heard about the gift bags being B2G1, but it definitely makes sense – I’d go in and look around when you get a chance.

Yes! I LOVE using the post it flags for my pc calendar! They were out of several of them (I was only able to buy 2), but she took my post it coupons on regular post it notes, too, and I also use those a lot.

Yeah, it looks like you’ve come up with a money maker, there! ๐Ÿ™‚ I had a great time last night, and I’m looking forward to getting my rebate checks in the mail.

So when are you peeps comin’ up here? ๐Ÿ™‚

Aha! So you’re the one who “bought out” the post-it notes. ๐Ÿ™‚

Went to 2 CVS’s–they were all gone at both. And it was Monday night! Obviously, there are other CVS-ers out thar. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I did get my men’s hair coloring, though! Check inside–some of them have 60 minute phone cards. I had heard about that earlier, so I checked in the store before I bought it.

They were out of post it flags at my CVS but the cashier let me use the flag coupon on the other Post it stuff since they were out. We visit with her every week so she knows us by now and is usually willing to let me work things out. She wouldn’t give me my $3 off $15 coupon back though (argh) MSM usually says they give those back to use next time. Oh well.

Well, we dont’ get our $/$$ coupons back here in Greenville! But, I was able to print off as many as I wanted from the new York Post. so I printed about 15 of them. I’d go back and print some more if I were you! ๐Ÿ™‚
