Nighttime in Philadelphia | Day 4
In: 31 days of October
This gorgeous fall evening, with the temps finally below 70’s, I had to run out and snap a few photos.
I love the progression of the night sky’s darkness. I took these photos in just a 5 minute window. Here, it gets darker earlier than in the SC mountains. Mostly because, being in the same time zone, our clocks say the same; but being on opposite ends of the time zone, the sun rises earlier and sets sooner. Tonight, though, is beautiful. Boys and girls are outside playing soccer in the street. Orange and purple lights are glittering brightly. And crispness is in the air. I even baked these marbled cream cheese pumpkin bars today and had a little impromptu block party in the back yard with several of our neighbors.
Nighttime. In the beginnings of my favorite season. In a new city. On my new street.
This blog post is part of a 31 day series called Fall in Philadelphia. If this is your first stop along the way, I am so glad you’re here and I hope today’s post brought you a little warmth and coziness. This journey is best taken from the very beginning as each day’s posts are pretty much *live* as I’m living this journey. All of the blog posts in this series will be linked together on the Fall in Philadelphia landing page. Click here to be taken there.
