If a picture is worth 1,000 words. . .

In: Family Snapshots

Easter Sunday with Mom and Dad“Can we have more pictures, please?” “I know you’re really busy, but do you think we could see a few pictures of Chloe sometime?” “Did you send those pictures to Nan and Pop, yet?” “You know, you should really be getting pictures of this!”

Wow! I knew that having a baby would mean sleepless nights, buying diapers and becoming an expert at impromptu songwriting (we even sing through dinner time – whatever it takes to get those peas down!) , but I had no idea it meant becoming an expert photographer!

Thankfully, I have two amazingly talented sisters who would love to have a camera permanently attached to their right arms, so I feel like I have my own personal photographers when they’re around. But, we do live about 220 miles away from them. Not to mention our wonderful church family back in West Virginia who are about 400 miles away, and who, without their prayers, our daughter might not be here today. They deserve to see some pictures of our cutie and hear how we’re doing every once in a while, don’t you think? It’s somewhat of a challenge, though, to fit picture taking in with the rest of the things that have to be done.

After thinking and debating with myself (I tend to do that a lot!), I decided the best way to keep my family and closest friends all happy was to start a blog. The sad secret is, though, I started this blog about 4 weeks ago, and even told people about it! But, here’s only my first post. And, I’d say it’s long enough. Because if a picture really is worth 1,000 words, how many words would this post be? 🙂

Yippee, I can see your blog now!! We have a blog too. We have friends and family in OH, FL, Iowa, WV . . . all over that look at it. It’s the easiest way to keep everyone up to date I think. You should check it out. 🙂 I don’t do a great job of updating either but I’m getting better. 🙂
