Our 4th of July
In: Family Snapshots
Because Chris has been so busy with work lately, we wanted to spend some time to ourselves during his 3 days weekend. We had a GREAT time! Thursday night, we all went grocery shopping together, then on Friday we went to Table Rock State Park and really enjoyed ourselves. Then on Saturday, we went up to the Gaffney shopping outlets and scored some new clothes which we all desperately needed. All in all, it was a great weekend!
We started with a delicious picnic lunch of clubhouse chicken ceasar sandwhiches with sun-dried tomatoes and sweet potato chips, apple slices, and 6 layer brownies for dessert. As Rachel Ray would say, Yummo! 🙂
Obviously, Chloe liked it! 🙂
Then it was off for a little hike – and when I say “little”, I mean, it was “little” – about 3 minutes of hiking. . .
What we found on our little hike – a little waterfall! 🙂
As soon as we set Chloe down, this is the first place she went – sqealing the whole way! 🙂
After an adventurous change of clothes in the creek, it was time for our walk back to the park to feed the ducks.
Chloe didn’t like how close the ducks wanted to come to her and just kept saying “buh-bye! Buh-bye!” So, we decided to go the (less frightening) playground for a while. 🙂
“Wheeeeeee!” After the 30 minute drive home (of which Chloe was asleep in the car within 90 seconds – seriously!), we let her take a nap, then we all went outside to play with sparklers. Chloe loved ’em! Then it was play time with Jack (Chris’ parent’s dog that we were sitting for) before bed. . . Then bath time. . . Notice how tired the little bug looks! “night night!”
