Today. Valentine’s Day.

I love my husband more than anything – so you think this post would be all about him. And I know that most likely Kyle wouldn’t have been born on his due date.

But I just can’t help but share his story again, today.

It just seems right.

Because the last roses I held I put on his grave.

So here it is. For me. For you. Kyle’s Story:

I am very sorry for your loss. Our first born son Nicholas was stillborn on August 12, 2012 at 40 weeks. Although our stories are very different we both are grieving mothers. Thank you for sharing Kyle’s story. I will keep you and your family on my thoughts…….Monica

    Monica and Kim,
We, unfortunately, all belong to the sisterhood of mothers who lost their precious children to micarriage or stillbirth. Nearly 6 years after I lost my first child to severe Down’s Syndrome that caused a miscarriage at eleven weeks (I have an adorable 4 year old now, whom I love and appreciate dearly), I still feel remarkable empathy over your stories and your losses. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, as will your little ones. God bless you and your families.

    Sincerely, Charity

This is such a beautiful story and it brought tears to my eyes. Instead of choosing to end the pregnancy, you continued it and kept Kyle safe and loved until Jesus held him on the other side. God bless you and your family.

I just watched Kyle’s Story and have read several blog entries and tears fill my eyes. I cannot fathom such faith–even after your admitted struggle with it–in God’s perfect will through this loss. We lost a baby only 5 weeks into a pregnancy, about a year ago, and I still struggle with the “whys”. Your story shows me that I can have hope and let go of the brokenness that is holding me back. Thank you for your openness. God bless!

THANK YOU for sharing your story, so full of Godly hope and love. It struck home for me with losing two little ones within three months in 2011. On Valentine’s Day, I will hug those precious children in my life and remember that life is fragile. We have an ETERNAL hope in Christ Jesus for all who believe in Him. How blessed I am with my beloved David after two sweet babies lost (and my precious Anna after Ovarian cancer). God works ALL things together for the good of those who love Him. God BLESS you. Your family will be in my prayers.

I know what you are going through, so I’d like to give you a big virtual hug today. Our daughter also had a pregnancy with a terminal diagnosis of acrania/anencephaly. They chose to celebrate every minute they were given. Amalya Nathaniel was born on September 10, 2012 and lived one hour and twenty minutes outside the womb. God carried us through it all and He has proven Himself faithful. As an artist, I made a memorial quilt for him, http://mariaelkins.com/amalya

Your story touched me on a personal level as my son was suspected of having Trisomy 18. The odds were 1 in 10. I remember reading everything I could get my hands on during those 13 days we waited for confirmation, as we had already decided to continue the pregnancy. My story turned out very different from yours as my son is healthy with no issues. However, reading your journey is an excellent reminder on just how blessed I am and I needed that reminder today. I appreciate your raw honesty and heartfelt posts. Your deep love for the precious life God created shines through. Kyle’s legacy will continue. Many prayers for you and your beautiful family.

I have buried 3 baby boys due to a blood clotting disorder we couldn’t control. It stinks. Horribly. Some day, when we get to the gloryland, we will know exactly why. I am so sorry that you have joined my little group of sad moms and if you lived closer, I would come and just hold your hand. I am so sorry. Eph 3:20 was the verse I stood and still stand on. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can dream or imagine….to Him be the glory!!! I just knew something good would come out of the murky dispair. 3more boys have come along since then, and can you imagine the party there will be in Heaven? Come, Lord Jesus and come quickly!!!
Saying a prayer for your sweet heart tonight,

Hi Kim =) thank you for sharing your story you have done a beautiful job with your blog and have created such beautiful memories for the time you had with sweet Kyle, I wish I could come give you a hug! I know you are such a blessing to me and many others and because of your strength in Christ you will be able to comfort so many others! 2 Corinthians 1:4
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I know the heartache you are feeling. My little girl would have been 8 years old this year.
